Robert Iron
(1793 - 1864)

Robert Iron b: 1793, in Suffolk, the son of Robert and Sarah Iron - J & H's 3 x great-grandfather. Robert married twice and had at least 14 children by his two wives, in the meantime, he still managed to join the army and take part in the Peninsular Wars and the Battle of Waterloo. After being a soldier he lived a fairly long life, dying in 1864, again we believe, in Suffolk.
