The definitive site to search for info on old pubs in the County of Essex (Newham was once part of it!),
The late Ian 'Pubby' Hunter included the names of landlords and other occupants where known.
Due to his passing away in 2003 this site will now no longer be updated.

The site contains pictures and info on many churches in the County of Essex This includes a few located within Newham.

JGSGBEOL (Jewish Genealogical Society of Great Britain East of London) Group is a society that may be able to assist those with any jewish ancestry search for family 'links' and covers the east of London area. This is a purely secular group and those with only a minimal number of
Jewish ancestors could well get information here.
