Jessie Sophia Harvey

Jessie Sophia Harvey b: 1856 - 1925, married Walter Willis Turner in Stepney in 1871 and was the mother of Jessie Sophia Harriet Turner (who later married Thomas Irons), and the original of this photograph was taken around 1871 just after her marriage to Walter Turner. the original photo shows her proudly trying to display her wedding ring which, unfortunately, gave an unnatural shape to her hand.   

This version of the picture has been 'colourised' and her hand reworked to give a more pleasing effect.  Of course the colouring of her dress, etc. have only been guessed at.
