St. Margaret and All Saints Church E16. Canning Town. Barking Rd.- Roman Catholic, An 'Iron' chapel was opened in 1859, the current building dates from 1919. WWII bomb damage restored 1951.

Boundary Road, - built 1894 in Duchess of Newcastle from a prominent Anglo Catholic family. re-ordered in 1994 'It was intended to demolish the church and and re-build a new larger St Martin's but this never happened.  the church has a fine Victorian 'ROOD BEAM' complete with figures together with fine statues of St Martin and Our Lady (rescued from the old Church of the Ascension before it was redeveloped into a multi-purpose Church centre).  The Rood Beam and images were all restored in 1994)'.

St. Mary Magdalene Church E6. East Ham. East Ham, High St South- One of the oldest (over 1300 years old) in England and with one of the largest churchyards in Europe, now a nature reserve bounded by Newham Way.
